Category: Let's talk
Hey all,
Just wanted to know, for those who've celibrated Halloween, what were your favorite Halloween costumes?
Mine were: a cat one I made, with a gigantic feather-duster as a tale, and the most favoritest one was... .. .. a vampire one! yay, vampiro teeth! I am in love with those things... and the ones that have fake blood in them, and you bite down, and the stuff goes every place.
Lol, I'm just weird.
SO, costumes costumes costumes!
Tell tell tell!
Cort
Take care, and have safe Halloweens,
I've been a lot of things for Halloween. I was cookie monster, bigbird, a princess, a reeper, and my favorite of all, a black cat with pointy ears. This year I dressed up as a vampiress for a costume party.
Let's see, I've been lots of things too! I've been a witch, a Ninja Turtle, a California Raisin, a vampire-ish woman with blood all over her face, a bat, Gene Simmons from Kiss, and now I'm looking rather wizardish in my sparkly star-like top with a moon and star button in the middle and all my silver jewelry and my hair down and long and flowing and a random twig I picked up for a wand. My favorite would have to be the year I was Gene Simmons because my sisters did the make-up and it took them forever!
Well, lets see...I was a witch one year, and i tied a bunch of straw to my cane tip so it could be a broom. Then there was the time I went as a bloody gorey accident victim, i had fake blood all over and was wearing a hospital gown and had powder on my face. Then i took some licorice and a ketshup bag and tied that to my cane and my arm and made an iv line. Cute, huh?
i was also a vampire one year, yes i love fangs too, they're awesome!
Ok, i have a good story about a Halloween costume. Today, my best friend came into school with a costume on. He was supposed to be Death, you know? So, he comes in and he has this hood over his face and stuff, and while the 2 of us were in the lunch line, this teacher that both of us completely dislike shows up and starts yelling at my friend to take his hood off cuz it was covering his face. But about 5 seconds before that she had been talking to this kid who had a mask on and she didnt say nothing to him.
So anyways when she told him that i asked her if she was anti-halloween and she was all bitchy about it, she said she was, so i left her alone and she just walked away.
Then after that my friend pulled his hood right back up and said "screw her."
one time i was the "goddess of wine" for this costume party at the school for the blind in austin. my residential instructor, Jen, got me this cool dress and she did my make-up and put these fake grapes on my dress. I won a prize at that party. it was fun.
Ringwraith for years running we even had authentic Morgul Blades, and how we weren't arrested for charging up Buchanan street screeching, with the blades drawn, after a 10yr old Frodo i will never know.
Awesome costumes! Keep 'em coming!
Take care,
Cortney
I was a hippie for a few years with these really dangly earrings and a wreath of flowers on my head. I've also been a gypsy, a Mardi Gras girl, a cat twice, a bunny, a balerina, a fairy princess, and a Shea Stadium usher. This year I'm combining several costumes and will be a cat in a spiky hat with wings.
You wont believe this 1 but i was dared to go out dressed as a penis 1 year...So ever up for a dare i did indeed and won £50 in a costume competition.
When my parents found out about this they went ballistic I was dragged off in front of my friends and up kept in for 2 weeks! with no music, books,tv or any way of keeping myself amused..It was utter hell!...But it did allow me to plan how to spend the money.
I remember what I was through my whole life for Halloween! I think. Let's see if I can do it!
Pre-School Year 1: Baby Bop From Barnie (barhrhrhrhrhrhrfhfhfhfhf!)
Pre-School Year 2: Simba from Lion King
Kindergarten: Pumpkin
First Grade: Ballerina
Second Grade: Baby
Third Grade: Devil
Fourth Grade: Baby Again
Fifth Grade: Harry Potter
Sixth Grade: Harry Potter Again (some woman thought I was really a boy, lol! It was hilarious, I had a wig and everything lol hahaa).
Seventh Grade: Fudge Hatcher from the Judy Blume books (I had a sign lol, Fudge is my hero! I know he's for like first graders but i love him! I had a stuffed turtle as Dribble, glasses with an attached rubber nose and mustache like in Super-Fudge, and other stuff I don't remember)
Eighth Grade: Santa Claus (which was by far the funniest thing i've ever done lol. I had this huge bard ...)
Ninth Grade: I don't know yet. I haven't gotten a costume because I've been busy with chour,s and now they're all picked over, so I may homemake something. I'll let you guys know what I do tomorrow or something lol.
Bye! Keep the costumes coming!
Caitlin
Hehe, I've only dressed up twice but had some good (well srange) ideas.
I once dressed up just in a pink sheet, but I had it covering me completely, no eye holes, and people thought it was really funny, I was playing drums in a Marching and and we were marching through the Village in New York, I loved it. Then I dressed up as a warewolf rabbit, screaming at people and throwing carrots around.
I came up with the idea of dressing up as a law suit (wearing a suit and tie and printing out lots of legal documents and putting them all over me) I actually wore it to a gathering yesterday, it wasn't a party and no one was wearing a costume, but people thought it was funny. Then I figured I could ut a lamp shade on my head, a table around my waits and look like a nightstand .. then if someone would ask me what I was dressed up as I could say "oh, I am a one night stand" <grin> (and no, I do not recommend or condone those in any way by the way, they are very stupid) .. but I thought it would make a funny conversation piece. I've never done it but may be one of these years I'll try it <grin>
Wildebrew you neglected to tell us about the Tutu .smile
but i love the idea of the vampire rabbit mind if i borrow it for next year..We can discuss terms and payment in beer.
...Hmm Now, Fellows make my beer a root! and let'sTalk about gettin' way down to advance oneself Bunny Style-- All the Rage! you fellows understand... Bunny with FANGS dripping in blood of Cherry chEEsCaKe is the Absolute Divine... Now, where? did I put my Celery, makes a GGrrrate cane for leaning on in me old age of Gandaff immortality while Stead-a-Flying through MidnightHours aPlenty... ... ... ZaZaZazoooommmmmmmmmmm *Flying flying*
Okay well for those of you who wanna know what i ended up doing, I just put a big white sheet over my head and my mom painted red marks all over it with marker that were supposed to look like blood. For the little trick-or-treaters, I just floated around and said stuff like "wooo" and "Happy Halloween ..." and "be safe ..." in a nice, easy-going ghosty way. But for the big kids, I screamed, moaned, lunged and fell over as though dead. They probably thought I was a nut case. Lol ... I was bored?
Hope you all had a great and safe Halloween 2004!
